ABOUT THE COLLIFLOWERS
Byron Bay/Northern Rivers indie-rock outfit The Colliflowers have made a habit of infatuating audiences all across Australia with their high-energy live show, catchy melodies, sun-soaked guitar riffs, and powerful drum sounds.
ā
Gary Collocott (vocals, guitar), Nelson Ludeke (lead guitar), Rachael Goddard (drums) and Alex Pereira (bass) take inspiration from legendary acts such as Dire Straits, Steely Dan, and The Eagles alongside contemporary artists Sam Fender, Lime Cordiale, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Ocean Alley. Their music fuses indie rock, reggae, and pop to craft a sound that is both captivating and infectious.
ā
The Colliflowers’ live performances are a must-see, delivering an unforgettable experience that resonates with the energy and dynamism of their unique sound. Since 2022, the band have embarked on national tours with DICE and The VANNS, made festival appearances at Spaced Out (QLD), Tone City Records Festival (WA), and Byron Music Festival (NSW), and supported acclaimed acts such as Pacific Avenue, Sun Room (USA), Old Mervs, Rum Jungle, and South Summit.
ā
Following the success of their singles ‘Devil’s Child’, 'Ordinary People' and ‘Undertow’, which garnered rave reviews and exclusive premieres from both Triple J and Triple J Unearthed, The Colliflowers are yet again back on the new music radar with their fourth single of 2024, ‘Bitter End’, out December 5th. This raw and emotional track draws from Gary’s reflections on the heartbreak of losing his first love. Inspired by personal journal entries, its heartfelt lyrics and poignant band arrangement capture a sense of vulnerability, creating a deeply moving experience for listeners.
