ABOUT THE COLLIFLOWERS

Byron Bay indie-rock outfit The Colliflowers have made a habit of infatuating audiences all along Australia with their high energy live show since their formation in May 2022.

Gary (lead vox, guitar), Nelson (lead guitar), Rachael (drums) and Alex (bass) take inspiration from legendary acts such as Dire Straits, Steely Dan, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers alongside contemporary artists Sam Fender, Lime Cordiale, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Ocean Alley.

‘The Colliflower Experience’ is a spectacle that spans generations and genres alike, enjoyed best when served shoulder-to-shoulder in the front row. The enigmatic pull of the band-turned-best-mates on the stage has contributed to their swift rise, seeing them added to back-to-back national tours with DICE and The VANNS, line-ups alongside Pacific Avenue, Sun Room (USA)Old MervsRum Jungle and South Summit, as well as festival slots including Spaced Out (QLD), Byron Music Festival (NSW) and Tone City Records Festival (WA).

Keeping up with their demanding tour schedule has meant that The Colliflowers have had to record mostly while on the road. The 4-piece effortlessly blends elements of indie rock, reggae and pop, creating a captivating and infectious sound. Their latest single, 'Undertow,' is set to release on May 23rd and has been produced by WA's Tone City Records (Sam Ford), marking the band’s second release of 2024. With an array of releases and shows lined up, The Colliflowers are quickly emerging to be one of Australia’s most exciting up-and-coming acts!

Meet the Band

"With their electric bendy guitar licks and emotionally charged lyrics, watching The Colliflowers play was like witnessing a delightful musical orgy of layered sounds that just worked so damn well."

Stephanie Jewell, The Rockpit

“Big ups, you guys. The blend of smoked-out psych and modern Australian rock is done with the same kind of vibe as locals such as Ocean Alley, Vanilla Gorilla, and more.”

Dave Ruby Howe, Triple J

"The Colliflowers sound, a fusion of classic Aussie rock with a sprinkle of indie magic, is the kind of musical elixir that we obsess over here at Happy Mag."

Tammy Moir, Happy Mag

"Definitely makes sense that both DICE and The Vanns have swept you up on their tours! You've got that sound perfect for a summer night at the pub!"

Sara Glaidous, Triple J
